Based in Los Angeles, Southern California, we specialize in designing, building and maintaining custom planters and raised garden beds as well as offering expert garden maintenance and horticultural consult. We are passionate about growing anything from edible plants to California natives and love to share our knowledge with our community.
Our mission is to connect the people of Los Angeles with the primary source of our wellbeing: our gardens.
We take pride in the quality and aesthetics of our handbuilt garden items and maintain organic gardening practices throughout all of our projects.
Founded in 2025 by Ry Oldenburger (Garden Ranger, Expressionist Painter and seasoned Musician with horticultural training from UCLA), PRIMARY GARDENS brings a unique approach to garden design. Ry’s professional artistic and woodworking background informs our philosophy that gardens should not only thrive ecologically but also resonate with beauty and creativity.
